Welcome to St John'sWe worship together on Sunday at 10.30am and 6.30pm. St. John's is a favourite church for weddings, it is also a popular venue for special events and services. Its upstairs hall is available for use by local groups. During morning service there is a supervised creche and Sunday club for children except on the first Sunday of the month when all ages worship together. How to find usSt John s Church, St John's Vale, London SE8 4EA is a prominent Victorian building between New Cross and Lewisham on the corner of St. John's Vale and Lewisham Way, at the top of Loampit Hill (the A20). Its almost over the road from Lewisham College, about ten minutes walk from Goldsmith's College. We are easy to get to by public transport. The 21, 136, 321, and 436 buses stop right outside. St. John's Station is almost adjacent, though trains are very infrequent. Lewisham Station is ten minutes walk or a short busride away, with the DLR and frequent trains to London Bridge, Waterloo, and Charing Cross (Victoria and Cannon Street trains don't usually run on Sundays) going in to London and towards Hayes, Sidcup, Woolwich and Dartford going the other way. New Cross Gate station is about 15 minutes walk the other way for the East London Line tube and trains on the mainline from East Croydon to London Bridge.
