St John's with Holy Trinity ChurchWe are a lively church with an open evangelical outlook. Although we worship on two sites in two very different buildings we see ourselves as one church. Our aim is to value the diverse Christian traditions represented in our church and to draw on them in loving and serving God, our neighbourhood and one another. We meet for worship in two places: St John s, St John's Vale, London SE8 4EA and Holy Trinity in the Orchard estate near Elverson Road Docklands Light Railway. St John's is part of the Ravensbourne Team Ministry in Deptford and Greenwich in South East London together with the Church of the Ascension on Dartmouth Row (just on the Lewisham side of Blackheath). Our Vicar, Christine Bainbridge, is Team Rector with particular responsibility for St. John's. Trevor Donnelly is team vicar with particular responsibility for the Ascension and Holy Trinity.
Christine's SabbaticalChristine Bainbridge (Team Rector) has just returned from a ten-week sabbatical. Her first sermon since she came back included some things learned on sabbatical and based on that we are developing a new statement of our vision for this church
Sunday morningOur Sunday morning services are at 10.30 at St John s and 9.00am at Holy Trinity Once a month at St John's we have our All Together worship with active participation by our children.
Sunday evening6.30 pm each Sunday evening at St John's.
